Can someone explain vct stage 1 format to me ? do 3 teams from a and b proceed to play off or what ?? what if all the teams from grp a wins all the matches ?? even then 3 team from grp b proceed to play off?

it depends on the region. for apac teams need a minimum of 2 wins to qual to playoffs and then after that requirement is met it's top 3 in your group. I think the other regions have adopted the same format but it might still be the old one which is that it's just the top 3 teams in each group.
That is why there is a minimum 2 win criteria for playoffs, if one group wins all matches, then that means no team in the other group meets the criteria thus top 5 teams from that 1 group qualify for playoffs ... Edit: umm i'm not sure anymore
