the main problem of M8 is that they are there for only two years
It's hard to create an ambitious project when you know that at the end of next year you wont be in VCT anymore

surely this is motivation to play better, e.g. G2 those guys however ambitious it may be want to win a trophy in these 2 years and aim to make it impossible for riot to kick them. I feel as though just being complacent and refusing to try is not the correct mentality. Not what I would like to see from Ascension winners.

G2 really have shown theyre hungry to win and yeah theyre only 1-1 but easily are middle of the pack in terms of rating. M8 just look like how KOI were last year
