EMEA Valorant playoffs format is broken

The 4 team with highest seed need to win 3 matches to get into masters while other 8 need 4 wins. But Navi who won there first match now have to win 5 matches including the one they won against TL. It js like there win over liquid meant nothing. They are back with the teams who won 0 matches.

the first point makes sense, because thats what a top seed means, they get advantage over lower seeded teams. the 2nd part where navi have to play against 0 win giants is kinda stupid tho, but what would be a good alternative bracket?

They could've added an additional lower bracket round for elimination of 2 teams from the following 4: Liquid/forZe/Fire Flux/Giants

that is what a seed is. gambit was the top seed of cis, so they get a 1 match advantage. navi was the 2nd seed so they have to play an extra match compared to gambit. if seeding is not a thing then there is no use of playing the grand finals in cis.

what you mean to say is navi who won 1 match already have to contest with teams who have won 0 matches to even get to berlin, which means they have won 1 extra match without any advancement in lower bracket. i agree with that, stupid bracket. its the sam with guild fpx and oxg

its 2 wins for higher seed and 3 for everyone else, expect you lose in the first 2 upper rounds

his point is that 2nd seed teams who won their first game but lost the 2nd game not only have to contest with teams who have already been beaten at their levels but also have to win overall more matches than the 2nd seed teams who lost their first match. which is very stupid. for example: for navi o make berlin they have to win 5 matches overall in the playoffs. but for team liquid to make berlin then they have to win only 4 matches overall in the playoffs. this is clearly a very overlooked scenario by the TO's, navi's first win is essentially meaningless now and team liquid can overall win exactly the same amount of matches as navi but make berlin, while navi have to win +1 more.

yeah i agree if you win your first game and lose 2nd there is really no difference to losing 1st game
