On today's episode of "Why Esports Players Need PR Training": SarahCat. Regardless of her (very valid) reasoning, you can't say shit like that while signed to an org with sponsors, especially when it's an external company like Shopify. Shit gets hairy when non-esports companies get involved. For her sake, it would have been better to call that guy an inbred than to appear to insult the largest religion in the world. Just a bad business decision. With that said, don't send hate. Just scroll.

"Trans Person Awareness Month? You mean Easter?"

Lmao disrespecting an entire religion over a snarky comment is NOT a proportional response

disrespecting trans people and then getting a quip back disrespecting your religion seems fair. if religious people want the respect of trans people, they need to not disrespect the trans peoples lives as a whole.

"you mean easter" implies the day isnt actually trans visibility day which is objectively false because march 31st in the USA is in fact trans visibility day and suggesting the day that is meant to support and represent trans people isnt real is in fact very disrespectful. im sure you know that tho and is just purposely being dense so you can be a piece of shit

I did and if she wasn’t on a team this would have no implications outside of future opportunities. But this is one of those situations where you’re the only person with something to lose. That guy will die a transphobe, she has an org, a parent company (Riot), and also teammates (now and in the future). All of those things are potentially jeopardized by making a statement like that.

Didnt say her message was WRONG. I said it was CARELESS. Right and wrong isn’t the topic i’m debating. She’s obv in the right for defending herself. However the way she did it invites mandated Riot PR training or loss of her spot in Shopify. It’s deeper than what’s justified situationally
