imo yay has the potential to be a top2 duelist in NA, but he needs an IGL to rein him in from making some especially bonehead decisions, otherwise he's gonna end up like babybay (even tho that's not a bad thing), when he could be so much more consistent

yep. yay is still new to NV so we may see him blossom even further in the future

Notice how cNed doesn’t need an IGL to make him not int

EU playstyle is way different than NA tho tbf. EU usually has way more strats, while NA teams are just conditioned to go balls to the walls whenever they feel like it

Did you not watch fireflux? They were legit playing with hp bar hidden, they were taking every duel they could get

Dude Yay chokes a lot in the end rounds... It happened against Sentinels too. For some reason he stops checking angles more and more as the match progresses towards the end. How do you not check the most obvious angle for post plant in Haven in the last round of OT.

yea i was baffled that he didn't check graffiti

Yeah. His talent is top tier. He is one of the most aggressive players I have seen. And he makes it work more often than not which is entertaining. But he does get caught out at the beginning of rounds occasionally because of that aggression. If he can temper that aggression a bit where he doesn't get caught out as often. He has the talent to be seen alongside the truly greats of the game so far.

they had 5 days of practice why do people act like hes making these plays after months of practice with nv

edit: think of it this way. everyone can see that he's fragging hard and has massive impact every map for nv. what is the point of criticizing nuances that would OBVIOUSLY get ironed out with more practice with the the team, when they have been together for less than a week? its like saying the sky is blue

yea but his decisions don't really have much to do with teamplay imo. and i also reference in #3 that he could be way better in the future aswell

i think they entirely have to do with teamplay, he plays like this because it was required of him for andbox to win, they just haven't ironed out the kinks yet

well, people and pros were saying NV was better than SEN, 100T after the pickup... what do you expect he is underperforming from all the people saying he is "el diablo"

he isn't even underperforming he's literally the chart topper for nv every map LMAO what is this revisionism

ik he is at the top of NV, but I'm saying from what others were saying yay "el diablo" "better than Tenz" "#1 duelist/Jett"...like he didnt live up to the hype of the fans and other pros put on his name

what are you even trying to say, how are you defining "living up to the hype" LOL he's doing great for his debut matches. did you want him to drop 40 kills every map or something? tenz doesn't do that shit

Guys it's an agressive style of play on Jett. You push/dash or whatever and get SPACE for your team, picking up few kills before getting killed, if at all. Yay played that Haven very good, getting MVP of the match ffs. Regarding, Wardell or cNed type of Jett style - it's different mainly in its pace. They play slower Jett style compared to TenZ/Derke/Yay and Jamppi. People blaming Jamppi getting killed too quickly forget that they don't know the initial goal of TL on how their Jett should be played. Well, their Jett create space and maybe pick up some kills then ScreaM or rest gets in to clear etc.

im definitely not a huge fan of how jamppi plays jett ngl. but hey if it works for them it works

I just wanted to say that all those plays have been agreed within their respective teams. It's not that Yay had suddenly decided to play uber agressive and went on with that approach. Faze are themselves very agressive team and will punish you for playing deep/passive style, hence the agressive response from Yay and NV. But NV lost too many clutches in that game which led to their defeat IMHO. BTW, if you want to spot an agressive Jetts, just check out their first player to die percentage. There is a lot of similarity between variaty of Jetts that kind of divides them in two groups.

Having an aggressive playstyle doesn't mean you shouldn't check obvious angles.

Listen, you are criticising MVP of the match. And even such players are not insured against making mistakes on occasions - remember that 5% human error can go to 20% too. Like that was some CRACKING and intensive game, man.

I want to see how he does on this Sage. Battle Sage might suit him better than an ultra aggressive Jett trying to make space.
