im making a lineup index discord server and have 3 questions for yall

if i eventually monetized this VERY lightly (probably a dollar a month) would you pay?
I think ill need a "mod" team and ofc people to help build the lineup repository, lmk if you are interested
@vlr mods would I be banned for posting this eventually? ik promo is supposed to be not allowed but I feel like this is the typa shit VLR users genuinely value not a twitch link

edits and clarification:

The lineup index will start free and will probably stay free, the monetization is just me throwing out a question.
The point of the index is so that its faster and easier to get a lineup. I know about lineup video guides lmfao, The index is made so that all you gotta do is: Utility Name > Map > Side > and then you are met with a simple 4 panel graphic of how to do the lineup and what it does. That way you spend less time searching and loading

I don't plan on monetizing until the whole thing is pretty built up and a solid product. but what about a dollar a month is too adverse to you for a easy and organized lineup index? just curious

i dont think $1 is bad, but the lineups would be in some viper or sova mains guide no? so you can get it for free instead of the $1 per month

totally. the point of the server is so that its faster and easier to learn and find. basically all you gotta do is go to the sova shock dart channel for example, click on ascent defense, and you get a whole list of 4 panel graphics that you can glance at and be done.

monetization isnt something im dead set on but I'm a college student who wouldn't mind an extra few bucks a month for providing a service if thats something people wouldn't mind paying eventually. my other idea is that I'll put together map playbooks and guides for Premier and make those a dollar a month

once it is built up, and if you're deadset on monetizing it (which you should since it will be a lot of work depending on the quality you're aiming for) i would definitely recommend something like ko-fi or patreon instead, something that's optional to opt in. this way, i believe you would gain a lot more traction and more potential buyers. you would be surprised how many people have extra money to throw around... especially valorant players 😭 (how are you planning on advertising it anyway? just vlr? (if it's allowed))

I planned on posting the link here if i could just cuz its a forum where its users would value it ya. Id prolly also make a twitter acc for it and make a tiktok page posting about the server index but I imagine eventually valorant users will just share the server on their own.

if you're asking about it from the lens of a "business", my answer is this isn't a business yet and I don't imagine id be "selling" it as a service until its really built up and valuable.

there are already many resources out there that does the same thing for free and most probably better than you, i don't understand why someone will pay you for becoming a lineup larry

you can see my other reply for more detail, but basically I wanna make an all in one repository thats faster than a video guide so you never are still stuck trying to find a lineup by the time the buy phase is over

pretty sure valoplant does this, but if you can collab with someone like woohoojin this could work, i wouldn't pay cause im broke but it would be useful
