How come all the Val events in Korea are held under one roof? whenever i see korean pro matches, it seems like both teams are playing in the same arena minus the crowd like island!
if so, can this be considered as LAN event and why NA/EU don't do that?

1) costs too much
2) no open quals if LANS become a thing

they could make opens online still and closed qualifiers on LAN

Next year. Possibly even later. It’s not easy as VCT isn’t a franchised league so Riot can’t get testing/vaccines checked easily.

A local area network (LAN) is a computer network that interconnects computers within a limited area such as a residence, school, laboratory, university campus or office building. By contrast, a wide area network not only covers a larger geographic distance, but also generally involves leased telecommunication circuits.

It is easier to host LANs in Korea as it is the smallest region in valorant and there are readily available arenas set up for esports, with Korea being the "esports capital of the world"

its a lan environment, same venue for both teams. but not true lan as they are playing on normal online korean servers.

-Korea is tiny
-Their COVID situation isn’t shit (although with the Delta var. that’s TBD)
-EU and NA are huge and the logistics of setting up a LAN 3x per stage is impossible right now. It was hard enough already setting up for Reykjavik.
-EMEA in particular is hard as it contains 3 subregions all with their own travel restrictions(EU, TR, CIS)
I’m sure you’re baiting me but idk

Korea has the most production budget out of all the regions. You'll see that Korea has a high reward too. Also the covid scene in Korea is far better than any other region.

where does the budget come from? I don't see that many sponsors in Korean streams compared to NSG streaming NA who literally run ads in between the attacker and defender halves! most of the NA streams have 5-6 sponsors like redbull, secret lab etc. so how come!?

bruhh Korea has one of the biggest esports scene all over the world. Riot is a big ORG and they dont really need sponsors. Sponsors need them, so it's irrelevant to think without sponsors they would not have production value.
