Thoughts on nrg (as NRG fan)

Maybe it's too early to judge...Though I can't help but noticed that our situation is similar to DRX...

Chet was a great coach but lately it seems like he is overcooking and our anti strats are little to none. Perhaps we need a new coach for a new breath of fresh air but then again I don't know any good current available coach other mCe but he is only known for developing rookies... Maybe there is a slim chance that Fns rejoin nrg as a coach which I would love to see it but it might just be a dream...

Stop forcing Demon1 to OP plz. Not saying he's a bad opper but it's difficult for him to heat up if he's constantly holding angle and saving. He also said last year he hates opping

Seeing him save that much this tournament actually made me sad, this OPing shit is ruining him like the weapon isn't as good as Chet thinks it is. Demon1 was statistically the best rifler of 2023 yet is forced to save every time a team takes site because his ass has 4700 credits on his hands. It's lowkey making him feel uncomfortable in rifle fights after switching off his beloved OP.

They legit just got too cocky, that's it. Chet left SEN's most played map open on purpose, overcooked a weird comp, and Demon1 had an off game that was due since Masters Tokyo. Demon1 is also statistically way better off the OP on top of that, Chet sees him as another yay and I've been saying that since their match vs FURIA. I legit said it before that good teams WILL find a way to punish the OP, it's why EG last year made the weapon look dogshit.

They're gonna come back humbled and ready bc it's only been the first 2 weeks of VCT.

Definitely was painful to watch demon1 having an off performance. I also noticed a lot of saves from them and I think what you're saying is valid that demon1 should be on rifle instead of op for the most rounds.

NRG are relying too much on the OP on top of that, like Demon1 has another off game on OP duty then the map is over because of how vital Chet makes the weapon in most rounds. The gameplan is to pivot away from the weapon and work on comps that're more flexible off Jett but there's a chance that we won't be seeing that. It's not even like picking Jett means you're on automatic OP duty, there's very real notes that Chet could be taking from Potter by just watching their games last year that he refused to implement for this tournament.

Chet is unironically living in 2022 when the weapon looked busted.

How can it be a coaching problem? Chet has an assistant coach and two analysts. They have all the info they need.

It’s clearly a player problem. They’re suffering from exactly what SEN did, putting together a team of stars and hoping it sticks. I mean Marved & Chef said they didn’t even trial Demon1, they just chose him cause he was cracked.

Pick up an actual IGL and a new smokes

it legit cannot be a player problem, all 5 of them as far as i know, either know each other or they are good friends (other than demon1) so their chemistry isnt the issue, the main problem was that they didnt really have any gameplans or a particular identity, they would just default and focused very heavily on mid rounding and even when they did set retakes/postplants, it would be the same thing for the entire half and this could potentially because of the low amount of time they have had to prac and drill strats but not sure

Sometimes being friends is a problem. Some of the greatest sports and esports teams of all time fucking hate eachother. Meanwhile friendship merchant Vanity hasn't accomplished anything ever.

That being said coaching is NRG's biggest issue.

fns knows the nrg guys in and out and he said those guys mesh really well and are friends outside of game and also the coaching staff of chet with tanishq should be given more time, nobody can be blamed at this point in time it just seems that nrg doesnt have that much prac

chet said he wants to go back to his old ways of doing whatever he wants and not playing meta stuff but tbh it didnt really look like they did that. they r kind of treating demon1 like yay on defense making him op every round which tbh he aint prime yay with the op. i also kind of find it weird that bind was the perma ban when they were good on it last year.

Chet didnt cook man, as a SEN fan i was so scared, but honestly they were clueless on split, otherwise it was just a day man, tenz popped demon1 didnt on any other day opposite couldve hppened, whats important is what we take from the losses. NRG will surely bounce back!!

Ohhh look who's back. But fr thou just give NRG time, they have the pieces to be the best in the world the players just need to mesh together a bit better. Also chet needs to stop fucking throwing as well demon 1 hard oping?? give it to marved and leave this man on the rifle. Also what was bro doing on split, demon 1 omen WITH DOUBLE FLASH INITIATORS. He has to play to this guys strengths, put him on astra or cook some off meta chamber comp idk.
