Masters Madrid

Can anyone figure out any reason this event had to be 8 teams? It's the smallest ever international LAN in VCT history. I don't really care too much about the whole season-length discourse that happened at the beginning of the year, but surely in 2024 we can do better than 8 teams at a LAN.

I think its fine. it makes Madrid more of a quality over quantity thing.
i think the format is only for kickoff + Madrid. i think Shanghai will have more teams.
and imo they shouldve called it Kickoff Madrid, considering they use kickoff basically as a group stage.
also so we can have 3 different titles for the year.

Sliggy said it seems like they want champs to mean more but in doing so they devalue the Masters tournaments heavily

yeah, its nice that we will get only banger matches but itll be so short unless they stretch out the tourney
