I want to try and become an editor, specifically short form content editing. I had a whole phase where I uploaded myself playing fnaf vr and got like 10k followers on tiktok but then I got burnt out of recording . I loved the editing part of the grind though and was wondering if there was some good advice that could help me start a career? Like good programs? (I used Davinci Resolve) Shortcuts? Anything helps!

for video editor, especially newcomer, i think the more you watch and experience someone's clip and/or video will make you better a lot faster.
i learned this the hardway. i got to college with 0 knowledge of visual media and i graduate from college with 0 knowledge of it. then i started watching shit i never imagined i'd watch. and those clips and shorts of literally anything gave more lesson than my entire college arc.

Watch a bunch of videos that replicate the idea that you have so you can get a good baseline. Than start just editing and using the tricks and ideas that they used mixed with some of yours.
