Riot have yet to release any hype shit whatsoever for 2024 VCT even though its starting in two and a half weeks. Five and a half months of literally nothing for Tier 1 Valorant by Riot. There's nothing hype about this garbage bro, out here lying n shit like just admit daddy Tencent told you guys to make room for LoL, their actual cash cow.

I think this was known, no one buys that hype shit. How am I supposed to be hyped after worlds when I know I won't be seeing an official tier 1 competition in 6 months.

Their excuse is that "there is plenty of Valorant to watch" with Game Changers and Challengers, but with due respect I just don't really care about those games a whole lot. At most I'll watch a couple GC and Challengers matches, but that's about it. There is still a lot missing to cover 6 months without official Tier 1 competitions.

We all know they mostly do it to save money on the venues and for people to watch LoL Worlds as well. But they seem to forget that many people who play Valorant just don't give a fuck about league. So the problem is still there. As someone who doesn't watch league at all, and I just don't really care a whole lot about GC and Challengers, the wait feels terribly long.

id at least accept this long af off season if they entertained us with other content around the Tier 1 teams like the shit they do in LoL, but no lol apparently everyone on the Riot VCT team had a half-year long vacation xd

yup, it's so bad that we are basically dependent on some people to organize invitationals or off-season tournaments so that we can actually watch SOME of the Tier 1 teams play. Even then, those tournaments last like a weekend and there isn't really many of them.

We had to have a longer break to get VCT China up and running, I don't understand complaining. There will be less of a break in future seasons.

They also needed a longer break last year to get franchising up and running. Different reason.

Notice how i didn't critique how the season wasn't boring, I explained the reason for the boring offseason. My point can exist with your point. And no, it's not Leo Faria.

Notice how you're still blatantly defending them about them forcing a long off season when the post you replied to is talking about how boring the situation itself is bc of the lack of watchable content. "I don't understand the complaining" lol.

after all the 5months off-season, it's funny to think that each teams just playing only 10 games minimum a year.
pros getting paid by just practicing scrims rather than playing tier 1 lan events lol.

lmao “plenty of valorant” but challengers only started two weeks before the actual VCT season, the other 5 months there was nothing
