You guys are thinking about Iso ult wrong

No one is realizing how easy it makes entries for the REST of your team.
Any enemy trapped inside is suppressed.
That is incredibly broken - an enemy suppressed, moved away from the bomb site. Imagine you ult a KJ holding Ascent B site while you’re attacking.
Turret down, alarmbot down, nades down, and KJ can’t even shoot back at your team when they’re taking site, and 50/50 she dies in the ult, and even if iso dies, she’s still probably dying after she gets out of the ult.
Sure, you get a guaranteed 1v1 for yourself, but that is nowhere near the actual value to the ult. The ult has so much strength for giving your TEAM opportunities, not yourself

Not even mentioning other strengths it has.

Iso is a more of a secondary duelist, not an entry duelist, he cannot entry by himself
He should never be the first one into a site, his utility will excel at helping the entry and then trading them (walls, fragile help the first duelist take space and get kills, his shield helps him get trades and follow up the entry)
Think of iso as a very selfish initiator who replaced his flash with a shield, it is easier that way

Good point also the ult still favours u not necessarily a 50/50 cause if the enemy guesses wrong which side you're peeking they have to move their crosshair so much further than you'd have to if you guessed wrong. Benefit of having two walls as cover instead of one

True, I just said that in general since it’s a purely raw aim duel, the extra cover does benefit but it is marginal

its not. if both sides are of equal skill, iso has a 72.5% of winning the aim duel. wall formation heavily favours iso.

how does that math work
(i’m just genuinely curious)

For me the ult in many situations, especially clutch situations, is just too high risk for not even reward. The ult can only get a max of one kill and just like a pheonix ult, you are vulnerable. Heck your even more vulnerable in an Iso ult than a Pheonix ult because at least as pheonix you can defend your starting point. Although I think his double-tap and his cascade like wall are pretty good, I don't see him replacing duelists like Jett or Raze in the pro meta.

Well yes, he would never replace Jett and raze, he cannot entry nearly as well as they can. He is a good support to HELP them entry, he is not good himself, so almost any solo-duelist comp will not use him bc it needs an entry more than it needs entry support

If you try to ult kj before running out of the choke in Ascent B, theres a good chance you'll miss the ult

And if you run out first to find out where KJ is, she'll at least use her mollies before being pulled

Did I misunderstand how it applies?
Isn’t it like a big AOE that snags an enemy standing within?

it is long, but not very wide
