i think it’ll be less abt trusting the ORG and more about just playing in franchising + getting their name out for other opportunities to arise in the future.

that's why C9 shouldn't be in franchising this shouldn't be the only incentive for player sto sign with you

every org last year that there should be a payment correction but they all realized that they're the one who made the mistake so they didn't take it out on their players rub the season as it was and then in this off-season they all cut salaries together and what are players gonna do not play on tier 1 ? so they will all cut their salaries except for C9 they decided to cut their players in a time where every roster was locked and fucked them over
you could argue that they has the biggest salaries of them all aka the biggest mistake and that's an argument against them not for them

"Cloud 9 is the best run org in all of esports.(0/8)

Signing yay and vanity for 2024 is the financial masterclass of all time.
High profile signing yay in 2023 as well as keeping your igl and best player in vanity, only to drop them after a few games together. The time they dropped them left them unable to go back to a franchised team, they were forced to play for ascension teams like Disguised and Shopify Rebellion respectively.

These players were so used to the high level franchised play of playing PRX, DRX, and playing for c9, they were unable to perform on these teams which were not a good fit for them.
Yay played with an IGL-less DSG team which played some immortal 1 level valorant.
Vanity was forced to play intel and flex roles when he has been a controller for his entire career. Shopify was also nearly a relegation contender.

C9 forced these players to join these terrible situations and tank their stock; their stock and their wages.

C9 realized the roster wasn’t going to be wildly successful and needed to make changes, so they decided to cut two of the higher paid players to try again later.

As we learned from mCe’s interview, him and yay had disagreements on valorant theory. This is why mCe was dropped. C9 yay didn’t fail because of yay, it was outside team factors and now Cloud 9 is going to let one of the goats of valorant have his redemption.

Their coach will likely be handpicked to support yay and vanitys ideas.

Now with this team the roles work better, my only worry is the existence of 2 smoke players, Jakee and Vanity. This team allows Yay to shine on his true calling, of sentinel. The way he plays, his mechanical talent, and his methodical playstyle is going to destroy VCT in 2024."
