catch up - yes, become the best - i dont think so
India Gaming is more spread into Mobile games as i know, therefore less "good" Val players

just wait for valorant mobile to release in india and then have 32040234809 copies do 4x better than the official game and have that become an esport

No, India is somewhat like JP. Both countries didn’t had good FPS culture earlier

i don't think is that simple, both are very different countries in terms of their quality of life and culture. A lot of people in India don't even have access to decent PCs in their homes, let alone good internet connection. That's why mobile eSports are huge there, is much more accesible for everyone.

heard somewhere that some CN team prac/scrim till 1am. If india has that kind of workaholic mindset sure, but answer will be NO.

You’re comparing both countries because they have similar populations. But population ≠ player base, India does not have a player base big enough

India's playerbase is much bigger than China's playerbase🗿

Very casual playerbase, 95% don't even know what VCT is.

You just need to see the numbers of the Indian VCT, they are small compared to what they could be.

the reason why china will catch up has a lot more to do with their esports infrastructure than just population (though player base is also very important)

like the amount of attention and support built into their system is to the point where chinese esports players are sometimes actual celebrities

yea we have population like china but not the esports environment

maybe if GE talent scouting actually doing something and find 5 "good" Indian players. But looking back they dont do any rosters change for 3 years, so no hope.

Any country with good population can become good .... But there are no fans in india , if valorant had same hype as bgmi in india , we would NOT have a team that could qualify for internationals but we would have a full indian team who can win a game against teams in pacific league .
Cn has players also in the game , we have not much playerbase and most players get double digit fps
