That Riot games are paying all the casters, watch party streamers, analyst desk, and even the janitors for hyping up EDG and KekwKekw(KK)
No way these guys keep overreacting after every kill he gets and many good plays are simply ignored because of him being in the server and the constant hype he gets for the most average kills I remember Yinsu calling him an international star after one good tournament and hyping him like he is the best player itw. Like come on he has some good moments but after every kill he gets Tarik and his chat keeps spamming that one emote to the point it gets annoying even yay wasn't this much hyped. I get it its so that more people in China start playing taking him as an inspiration. But this has simply become unbearable, I have to turn off the chat and remove my earphone to watch EDG, but luckily they are getting grouped soon and hopefully, this hype dies.

Oh. My apologies. I didn't think you were incapable of reading a few sentences. I sincerely wanted to give an explanation of what happened here in the EDG matches, then some. If you think it's too much to read, by all means. Drop it. Pop off. You do you. Maybe it is childish. I'm not defending mine nor anyone's. So... Hostile... Sheesh. Calm down, "Batman" it's just a comment/reply to answer your question and a little extra. No need to be... That. That type of "everyone out here trying to get a gotcha out of me" type of thinking. You down to chill or no? Oh wait... Maybe this paragraph is too much for you... If you wanna be that bad... Despawn yourself.

When tenz gets kill in lcq against 1thief , the way he gets hyped up is similar to kangkang
Tenz played great during the early stages of valorant so he is taken as an inspiration . kk is best cn player and doing great in internationals , cn new region so ofc they will take him as inspiration too

an international star is indeed someone who performed well internationally. I don't see how Kangkang didn't do that

one tournament, did you not see the recent matches? no way he is even close to being top 10 duelist based on his performance

Did you not see the recent matches? KK was +11 against PRX(second best team in the world) despite his team underperforming and going 2-0. Additionally he is by far the flashiest duelist which only adds to his hype.

Idc about what place he is itw as a duelist. He's still a star player who has consistently performed well internationally. The reason EDG did well at Tokyo had less to do with him popping off and more to do with the rest of the team finally starting to do well on lan.
I would compare Kangkang's popularity to someone like Jimmy Butler, he's not considered one of the best players of all time but he performed really well during playoffs so he's considered a star.

Thats the problem EDG are winning most of the rounds where one player is consistently getting multi frags either through luck or skill. This is what separates a good team and EDG, you dont see FNC players getting 3k or 4k every other round individually. As sliggy said the enemy team can simply think whether they got out-stratted or the enemy was simply lucky, like that one round in fracture where chichoo got 3 kills after getting stunned or even nobody constantly get 3k or 4k against giants for their team to survive at the end. I still feel they are not a good team and are simply lucky enough to survive till now. Also, yay was not considered top 10 till he literally won the masters.

I mean they have to overreact for content and kk is one of the players that were recently hyped up at tokyo. Imo he might be a lil overrated but def top 10 duelists still and one of the best at op
