Korean Val

where does korean val stand in terms of skill in the international scene. personally, as a fan of nuturn, it’s been EU=NA>KR>Rest, with Nuturn, the first or second best team, being able to compete with the likes of V1 and Fnatic. However i see on forums and tik tok ppl still really think BR and others are better and that KR looks like NA radiant ranked (although to be fair tik tok and many ppl in forums are brain dead anyway).

I think VS will be the best KR team with Lakia back and new additions to the team

Only idiots think KR will compete in Berlin. Overall they are far worse than NA teams and might actually be worse than BR teams

Wdym? Nuturn were 3rd, Vision Strikers have better players overall, and adding Lakia, arguably the best player in Korea and best Sova in the world, is a giant boost. They are def top 5 if not top 3

Top Korean teams can 100% compete with top NA and EU teams; however, the scene currently (IMO) only has a handful of 'elite' teams (Nuturn, Vision Strikers, and Damwon)

Korea can compete against NA and EU, right now Korea is better than Brazil 100%

Vision Strikers and Nuturn can compete against top teams from NA, EU and BR, but the scene are very very weak. In terms of competitiveness (regions):
1- EMEA
2- NA
3- BR
4- KR

Um this is based on regions....

Sentinels and Version1 ( maybe envy ) > EMEA

EMEA > rest of NA

you're pulling that out of your ass there is no way you could no that EMEA > rest of Na especially when V1 dogged Liquid and other matches haven't even happened

like you said, the base of the KR scene is not very strong, but i think the BR scene is in the same boat. from what i've heard, gamelanders seems really good but then again, sharks and vikings who are also some of the top in the region underperformed massively at iceland. i think that KR is more in tune with current metas and has stronger highs than BR does. i also think that NA and EMEA are really close in terms of skill so i would also put them together

I would put the regions at something like this (based off the ones who were at iceland)
1-NA/EMEA
2-KR
3-BR
4-SEA/JP/LATAM(?)

thoughts are appreciated

gamelanders have 2 star duelists, 1 good fragger who plays smokes, and 2 pretty bad fraggers who are on sentinel/sova roles respectively. before roster changes, they only had stars and 3 bad fraggers. vikings are a balanced team who have had to figure out roles, as their duelists got exposed at masters, so they moved their best player (sacy) to duelist and are trying 1 duelist comps some maps. sharks had a very bad performance (except prozin), i think they choked. furia are a good team, i do not like the roles they are playing, however. br has 4 (Tier 1) teams, the rest are so much worse. this tier 1 is pretty weak as well.
