Valorant Players and NBA Legends comparisons

TenZ and Wilt Chamberlain: Arguably the most dominant individual performer in early valorant. However, despite his individual brilliance, cloud9 had very little team success which led to him joining sentinels where he hoisted his only trophy and had one of the best single tournament runs for an individual ever.

Yay and Michael Jordan: The best player in valorant's history so far. Was instantly in top 5 player itw conversations as soon as he joined NV and and was debatably the best player in the world throughout his entire tenure there. It was very rare for him to not be the best player in a series and he was able to maintain that form the longest of any player who was ever in best player ITW conversations. However more recently, he has struggled to find footing in a very poor DSG team, akin to MJ and the wizards

Derke and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar: Instantly made Fnatic contenders after a poor showing in Masters 1 (didnt even qualify because of the british fraud superteam merchant IGL). Though his form has been questionable for some stretches of time, he has been able to contribute to a contending team his entire career in tier one valorant and only recently has he taken a backseat to leo, chronicle, and alfajer. However, he has not a single trophy to show for during his peak despite his great form, and he has only started winning after taking a backseat.

Aspas and Lebron James: Was touted as brazil's best prospect during the entirety of the time he spent on SLICK. Though Aspas' early career is not very comparable to Lebron's, he can not be compared to anyone worse than him due to his sheer talent. As soon as Aspas joined LOUD, it was championship or bust for him. He was brazil's greatest prospect, so-called "best player in the region" and "better than mwzera." He had the best supporting cast in the world, the first superteam that arguably spurred on the creation of Fnatic (similar to how the heat led to the creation of the KD warriors, and no the 2008 celtics werent the first superteam). However, despite all of this, his trophy case is lack-luster, not nearly representative of his talent. He has a losing record in the finals, and multiple disappointing playoff placements on top of that (copenhagen, tokyo). Now that the supporting cast around him is deteriorating he's rumored to leave the team. Will he create another superteam? Who knows.
