Right now im watching Heretics vs MTP and all heretics players use vandals only even on split. I’m worried for EU that they lose rounds again in Berlin against NA etc just because phantom >vandal

are you serious? sentinels are not at all a team that relies on strats mainly, and there strats are good but not that special to win them entire rounds.

I'm pretty sure teams are aware of that, but it is also true that online vandal > online phantom due to peeker's advantage. Hopefully EU teams bootcamping for Berlin LAN will adjust to playing with phantom instead or at least figure out how to play around phantom smoke spams that V1 were so good with.

Teams right now should be more concerned with actually qualifying for the EMEA tournament through these open qualifiers.

Even the open qualifiers are so entertaining to watch in EU. Cant wait for the battle with TR and CIS in the main tournament

yeah, tbf we finally are getting what EMEA community asked for - streams in the open qualifiers and actually almost perfect(if not perfect) tournament format. I have no more complaints as a spectator anymore :D

Don’t know about that. There was a lot of reports in Iceland that the Vandal felt really good on LAN where a lot of players had to rethink what gun they’re gonna use. And now that Breeze is in the map pool, I don’t think on LAN it’s cut and dry that Phantom is better. With Breeze on the table I expect more Vandal use than Iceland. Personally I don’t think it’s cut and dry that the phantom is better. I just think that it’s better in more situations.

I am by no means “good” at Valorant (only Plat, hoping to get diamond this episode). But I had the best luck between phantom and vandal depending on what I am planing on doing in the round. If I’m playing aggressive I go Phantom, if I’m playing slow and looking for picks I go Vandal. If I’m paying mid on Accent I usually go Vandal. If I’m covering B main I’m going Phantom.

Either way, the pros are pros for a reason, even the worst pro in the scene will know what gun suits them best.

my idea is that entry players should definitely use vandal otherwise it's against their strategical usage, other players may use any of them depending on the attacker or defender scenario. And sentinels must always use phantom

Youre right, players like cNed, derke, jamppi etc maybe fit the vandal better because they go for „dry“ entries

It’s still getting on my nerves..
whole FPX team except dimasick play vandal on every map
Whole Liquid team (except L1nk) play vandal
In G2 even only AvovA and sometimes m1xwell don’t Play vandal
Acend: only zeek doesn’t use vandal

I think kiles mostly uses phantom, cned doesnt even use vandal so often cuz you know he is op+classic player

Whats with you guys , just because SEN used phantom doesnt mean players can should use Vandal , Why did TenZ use Vandal in Masters then ??? The only thing that matters is how comfortable you are on your weapon
