Idk why people think mainstream = dogshit. I’ve read mangas more obscure than you can even think and I assure you that they are obscure because they are bad and mainstream is popular because it’s good.

That's not always the case to be fair. You find some hidden gems here and there. Obscure doesn't equal dogshit. It's just when something becomes mainstream it loses the charm of being something you found on your own. Doesn't mean it's not good, it just loses some of the charm it had before.
