Cuz iceland was the first ever lan of valorant. Nuturn got 3rd because of lakia and he put up some good ass stats during their run then. Wasnt always that one ascent play yall rave about and ever since first ever lan korean fans got way too excited for the future but still 0 trophies tho

one hit wonder syndrome and biased toward Koreans, it's help when at that moment DRX (VS) was a good contender and Asian hope and Nuturn just happen to beat them to qualify so yeah the hype carried on
