Genuinely, how can they even fix this agent not being used in pro? If learned how to play, Yoru has a better kit than neon, chamber, reyna etc all of whom got played in Tokyo but not him.
Plus people lean too much into the "Gimmick" aspect of him but not as a normal pick. How does Riot even go about fixing it as the agent himself is strong enough?

Make hi tp out faster. make it so his tps dont have a timer to dissaper unless used and make it so that he can place 2 tps at once. Ez

Just making his TP animation faster is enough to make him the next operator agent, and a great pick on most maps. He will be an oper on defense and an initiator on attack with flashes and ult.

they dont care about him lol.. if they really cared about him they wud not have released harbor, gekko and now deadlock.. they did try a few months ago but i dont think theyre gonna "fix" him now

See thats the problem, all three of those agents aren't even THAT good. Despite that, Harbor found his niche with double controller with viper, gekko got his niche with bind, and deadlock MIGHT get played even if she is BAD af imo

It would be fine if more agents start getting played, but being the ONLY agent to not have gotten picked at an international LAN at this point is a bit telling, no?

I mean it's not that bad lol, if you look at MOBAs hell even overwatch not all heros/champions are in the meta, some character are just OP if you used it on a pro level and some are just not OP enough, not every agent needs to be viable in pro play

Also why u using Ow as an example. That game legit died because random characters sucked and other were too op. Having characters that are interchangeable is key to making a game last. Also its boring watching the same characters

First step would be to reverse the nerf they gave, when they increased the animation time when you exit the ultimate and portal. Raze, Jett, Neon can all kill while flying/sliding, why yoru can't kill when going out the portal?

Second step is reversing the other nerf, and making the ultimate work like it used to: As soon as you use it, you are intangible. Without this shit of waiting for the fucking mask to touch his face in the animation

I mean, Yoru is already the worst agent in the game, why they keep making it worse?

I have had a few buffs in mind before, wonder if they would help at all

  1. Give him two clones like he had footsteps before
  2. Make his TP not have a 35 second time limit before it expires and it just stays
  3. 6 points on his ult like Phoenix

  1. Agree, or at least make his clone more vivid. It was a good skill when it released, but now that everyone played thousands of time against it, it is utterly trash. Even the flash time/animation when the clone gets shot is trash and totally counterable.
  2. If the TP time didn't start the counter during buy phase it would already be good enough. This + old Yoru animation time would make it a more useful skill.
  3. If they don't plan to buff Yoru ult, it would be a good change

You right, so used to combo TP + Ult with old Yoru that I had the impression that the animation time was better

his ult used to be .6s to exit, then with the addition of the clone it was boosted to 1.2s, but the community kept finding animation cancels with his ult so they ultimately just lowered the exit to .8s so the community would stop breaking the game

I think you have to accept that some agents just don’t fit pro play because of their design. Yoru needs a lot of set ups from teammates and ensures a lot of work for a coaching staff. Why put in so much effort if you can have the same impact with any other duelist. Only exception is if you want to surprise your opponent wich can go horribly wrong for you too.

Idea 2: If you just make his ult 6 points, he will be picked over Phoenix since he will get better info than Phoenix's ult for the same price.

Yoru thrives better in chaotic environments like ranked games, in professional play you really cannot choose him over Jett or Raze in all of the maps, his plays gets repetitive and easy to counter.

You basically have to create a comp that goes around the Yoru like Paper Rex. Nowadays some teams are scared to innovate and try out new stuff, they prefer picking the meta comp which is easier to play.

at this point they should just completely redesign his kit. keep his tp in some shape or form and just give him two new abilities. His ult is cool tho
