What’s up with ZETA DIVISION

From the outside looking in, it seems like they are completely satisfied with mediocrity. They made no changes from a roster that did very little other than the Masters 1 3rd place run and was already looking mediocre before franchising, and still play with the same play style they’ve been using for years. I wouldn’t think that there isn’t enough Japanese talent to warrant a roster change considering how popular the game is over there, so why would they keep the same 5?

common japan mentality ZETA will never win unless they have luck on their side. They say ZETA BELIEVE and come last in groups. Watch zeta die soon.

The game might be popular but can you name any japanese players that could replace the current roster?

Meiy and Syota are too good to be in tier2. Meiy in particular is a really good player and has the experience (NTH) of being on the same team as Ten and SugarZero, so he should be able to fit in right away.
Also, joxjo and madusa are Korean but can speak Japanese fluently, and since they are IGL, they can get Laz to quit IGL and give his performance a boost.

Syouta is really talented but I am pretty sure Dep and Sugarzero are the best Japanese in their role, except you wanna move meiy to flex otherwise there is no way Dep has been replaced.

Idk about you but Zeta woulda qualified for Tokyo if Carpe didn’t go godmode on last map (and the fact that Cr0w THREW HARD),also we can’t switch rosters until end of Champs so

I was talking more about prefranchising during the roster mania that happened

I’ll tell you what I truly think then,

ZETA themselves have the players (exception right now being Cr0w), to easily win LCQ and honestly replicate a 3rd place run like from Iceland, what’s limiting them is the fact their mentality is still not in a good place and they haven’t really done anything for their players mental, the fact they can’t be as coordinated as they were once before. Another thing is that their roles are kinda in the dumps rn, they should honestly do double duelist if I’m being honest with you TENNN is SO good at raze to not be raze. Also their coach tactics kinda ass ngl.

I honestly don’t see a Masters 1 type run with the level of talent that would be at champions. Are they really a more talented team than teams like DRX, PRX, FNC, LOUD, EG, TL, or NAVI? Because those are the teams they would need to get through to be top 3 and I can’t see the vision unfortunately.

They have the potentially to be (by form on this tournament) better then DRX, NAVI, TL they been grouped by the champions in champions in 2022, and sure Boom Esports was something but personally speaking this is facts 🗣️🗣️🗣️

no everyone tries, nobody wants to lose, especially not if you have the biggest regional support for any team in valorant.

boaster said in an interview with the japanese talents that Laz asked him for some advice during the regular season regarding the how to schedule scrims and other game related stuff so that he could direct his team in the right direction. zeta definitely is trying and them qualifying for playoffs in pacific league was just a glimpse of it. they could've been like an rrq or ge, but they did better than them.

Sorry, I wasn’t talking about the players being fine with mediocrity, more like the org. Obviously players don’t want to lose, but it just seems like that the staff is fine with sticking with the thing that worked before instead of taking risks with up and coming talent that could elevate the team to greater heights. We’ve seen with other teams that taking players from T2 like Jake and Runi on C9 and Something on PRX could elevate a roster, and I am inclined to believe that there’s a high enough level of talent in Japan to warrant a move like that

yea crow has been an obvious change everyone wants. but to me it looks like the players on team are ok, and the org has decided to put their complete faith in the players and let them cook. i personally would love to see some changes in their roster

they are not bad but they look really outdated especially their strat, watching Zeta's game reminds me of some old school 2021 Valorant matches, they are extremely reliant on their duelist to entry if Dep having a tough day they are fucked.
