VCT format sucks

Round robin for 2 months straight with no breaks immediately followed by masters tokyo and then champions right after, then 8 months of off season??

And having basically every team that qualified for tokyo except china teams automatically qualify for champions is stupid and undermines teams performances at masters. This can be EASILY fixed by having 2 splits per season with 2 LANs before champions

Who is cooking up this format at riot

PS ascension winners should have a shot at LCQ instead of having to wait a whole year to play a tier 1 tournament

bro we had only 1 LAN before champs because of lock//in. But I agree with everything else you are saying

It's the first season, so I'd hope that over the next year or two they will adjust based on how the community and players react.

You have some points but where are you getting 8 months from

I literally have no idea why they aren’t doing this you have a 7 team LCQ why not add another team and make a double elimination bracket? And another benefit the fans get to see the strength and get to learn the team that will be join their VCT league

bruh u do know they moving to 2 splits next year. its just that lock in screwed up everything

This off season is making me so mad

the ascension winner at LCQ sounds really great

imagine winning ascension, then win LCQ straight to champion, win champ holy moly cinderella story

The 2 splits/masters schedule will come back for next year, but what I really can't wrap my head around is about tier 2 and having such a long offseason.
If Ascension teams won't play at LCQ/Champions, why the hell Ascension will be so early??? Riot really dropped the ball
