NRG lack a "cracked aimer", a star duelist player who can just win you a round just by their sheer skill. Someone with great impact. Eg. Aspas for Loud, Sayf for Liquid, Derke for FNC, etc. It used to be Yay or even Marved, but NRG just lack firepower. They need someone who can consistently win fights and place at the top of the scoreboard.
Victor, Crashies, S0m are all great players and can show up to be this person on their day, but consistency is lacking and by definition I wouldn't consider any of them a "cracked aimer". Even if they were, I argue that they still wouldnt be impactful enough because they dont play duelist (except for victor)

They need a pillar for sure. But I still believe Ardiis can do this, he's gonna get consistent with the team overtime. Rest of the guys pop off every other game

He's only gotten worse ever since Champs tho. It was just a honeymoon period for him he's back to his skill level from before Copenhagen again. This is what Ardiis used to play like before fpx blew up

Crashies has only been consistent towards the end of this half. Before nrg blud was probably the most inconsistent when it came to aim and fragging next to FNS (even then fns got so much better during Iceland)

Look at all the top teams in the world. They all have great macro play (that NRG has) but also a cracked aimer. Unless you have someone who you can rely on to constantly win fights and topfrag you wont win tournaments

It looks like that because they are very default heavy. Ardiis cannot be utilised properly in very slow defaults

They just lack Yay.... IK people will say he is washed... but he is still just as good of an aimer and his jett is probably on par with his chamber he struggled in T2 because of his team not because of his prowess.. bro had exalt as IGL and his coach was some no name.

I agree… a reliable aimer like yay is what made OPTIC such a good team because not only everyone in the team plays their role so well but you have someone who can cleanup messy rounds by consistently getting multi frags

i genuinely think they are the worst team mechanically in playoffs, they make up for it in everything else
