This explanation is for VLR users who do not understand Japanese.

・Riot japan and DRX obtained permission from a Japanese game center to perform a promotional photo shoot.
・However, Riot and the team took a composition of a player sitting on top of a game case in an amusement center and uploaded it to Twitter.
・The facility probably does not even give permission for the method,
This amusement is still in operation today, and their behavior, not to mention their lack of common sense, has caused criticism throughout the country.
photo became known to people who had never heard of Valorant and sparked criticism.
(Also, the fact that this game case is one of only two in the world that are very retro and only two exist in the world also accelerated the criticism.)
・Riot Japan apologized profusely on Twitter, saying that it was executed at the direction of the film crew and that neither DRX nor the players were responsible, and that it was all Riot's fault.

It was unfortunate that such news should happen just before an important match.

i mean they didn’t know, they took the picture, didn’t damage a single thing. Riot could probably buy that arcade 1467755x over and still not make a dent. Realistically there’s nothing to be mad over.

so let me get this straight...
the entire country is in outrage because when DRX is holding a photoshoot, Rb is sitting in a arcade machine that was not allowed to be sitted on by the owner of the place? and now Val JP is apologizing because of it?

it's a cultural thing, westerners will never understand. One of the JP players had to apologize for shooting bodies in VAL

no I get that it's a cultural thing, but it just seems a weird thing to be outraged about

but apparently the arcade was like very rare and stuff, it's understandable IMO

The case that Rb is sitting on is a rhythm game.
Since you are stepping button part, It's like sitting on keyboard or mouse in PC analogy, well, it may be uncomfortable for some people.
but Even with Riot's explanation, it is odd that Rb and DRX would be directed to criticism for this.

I guess, but apologizing for small things in Japan is a common thing.

People here are so lonely that they make such big deal out of every controversies. Sure maybe that’s not allowed but is this something you really have to be mad about? I’m reading comments saying “Never come back to Japan” It’s obvious these people are just sad about their life and have nothing else to do. Everytime I read Japanese drama on twitter it’s always like this. Shouldn’t have read the comments to this XD fucking losers. But there are also comments defending RB so maybe it’s just a twitter problem guys (Like always)
