awp agents in valorant

Now that Jett has been nerfed a little, what are some other viable agents to be used for dedicated flex awppers?

jett reyna yoru omen are only ones that make sense

omen is the worst out of them but you can do things like play near tp door on B long bind and then tp to octagon after pick

reyna, omen, and yoru has awp potential but jett is still the best awp agent

Omen is terrible for oping because you cant smoke for your team while your scoped in.

I've noticed a lot of jett players switch to sage on some maps (e.g. cned). Doesn't have the quick escape potential, but you can surprise the other team with creative angles using the wall

reyna should not be an OP-er based on her ult and the equip time of the OP. same with Phoenix, bc phoenix ult and OP do not go together.

sentinel agents could use operators a bit more since they set up all their shit before/at the beginning of the round. they just can’t take aggro peeks bc they’re too important to the team.

Jett still the best, raze is ok at it, sentinels can all use it cause their util is used before the round, yoru has so much potential but has a horrible kit

cypher and killjoy can pick up the op because they don't need to fiddle with utility like controllers/initiators.

yoru and raze are good because they can reposition quickly and set themselves up.
reyna can work well if you're sharp since you can dismiss out of peeks similar to jett dash, but if you miss you're dead.

finally omen can work well if you use his TPs well and have a secondary smoker on your team.

overall there are some good other choices.

Reyna awp with ult works if you're defending. And hey if you're awping. You're probably not attacking. It just provides the ability to shoot multiple times when they are entering site. Not the most optimal but if the rest of ur util costs less than jetts. Then you have more money to buy awp.

just don't awp with omen on atk. a ton of teams anyways don't have an awper on atk after the nerfs on awp but who knows. maybe the awp has other buffs which make it more viable on atk and to peak with.

It applies to defense as well. Say you're watching A long with your op but your teammate needs a smoke b/c/garrage you can't smoke for them unless you stop watching the angel with the op. just don't op with omen, in general, its stupid af any duelist is a better opper any sentinel is a better opper than omen.

With the new nerfs. Omen will probably become more of a secondary smoker. So maybe u'll have a viper or an astra as well now(in proplay this will def happen but hopefully we see this happen in ranked because pros do it but probably it'll still be 5 instalock duelists). In which case your other smoker can smoke for them and also omen will probably have to save smokes more now because a 40 sec cooldown would be pretty annoying if you didn't buy a smoke because you bought awp and you need to save a smoke incase of retake.

I would still prefer someone like killjoy, sage, reyna, or yoru on awp though. But I do think omen is still a better awper than a ton of agents. I also think that viper is pretty good on awp. And Jett will still be cracked at awp. But other than that. I don't think anyone else is really viable on awp. So if you're running like in the new meta. Kay/o, Omen, Astra, Phoenix(he didn't get hit hard so I can see him being played more), Sova/Skye(I think skye will be more powerful than sova in the new patch. Astra won't awp. Phoenix won't awp. Kay/o won't awp. Skye/Sova could awp but even then it's only really omen that's decent. I think that literally everyone except for the 6 agents listed above are worse than omen at awping. I guess that's still not good considering there's only like 16 characters rn. But I still think he's pretty viable.
