This is because he wants to seem like a good player, ( he wants to prove to his team that he deserves the roster spot. He is the one of the only Indian in franchise, massive pressure on him to perform, he probably feels like he doesn’t deserve his slot in franchise. This is reason why he is overpeeking, he wants to get more kills to make people remove blame from him .. he wants to do his entry job instead of trying to actually win the game.

This is all assumption , i psycho analysed way too hard here.
