Is Valorant easier than CSGO?

Mechanically... yes.
Lower skill floor and lower skill ceiling.
Why?

-Bigger head hitboxes. Less accuracy needed to hit head. In CSGO, the difference between a super mechanically sound player and a mechanically good player is really noticeable because the head hitboxes are smaller, the super good player will show his better accuracy by hitting those hard shots more consistently. In Valorant, there will also be a noticeable difference but way smaller and will give less results.

-Some mechanics in Valorant has lower skill cap. For example, the spray control. In CSGO, even at the top level, there is a very noticeable difference between the best spraycontrol pros and the mediocre ones. Elige, Xantares, Electronic etc has insane spray control, showcasing it regularly with consistent spray transfers that they reliably can do due to their insane control of the spray. With Valorant's RNG added to the spray mechanic, it dumbs down the mechanic, makes the difference between the people with the very best spray control and the ones with worse spray control. Going for the high skillcap spray transfers is way less reliable and way less rewarding, if the RNG isn't on your side.

These are the two major ones I can think of.

Shroud for example said that in Valorant, "everyone is a god and hits insane shots all the time". He said CSGO was easier for him, because there were very few people who were gods.
This is also because the skill cap is lower.

to some extent, valorant is easier because Moving speed and Gun's rate of fire. valorant more Strategic, csgo more aim. in csgo pro match u will EZ know what are these smoke and flashes for If your rank is not very low. but in valorant skills are more changing.

Those things you metioned are true. For a better individual experience, CS esport is a better option. But in the long run Valorant will have a higher skill ceiling, because of the strategic component. I mean, you can be fucking nuts aiming at heads but if don´t get to find a target due to smokes, flashes, mollys, darts n' the new stuff Riot is always bringing, you will be useless at the game. Its a different viewing experience, some people enjoy crazy shots, other people enjoy a flawless execute.

Very true. It will be interesting to see how Valorant develops at the pro level, when people have found more creative ways to use abilities and more strategies involving abilities.

What's the point of even saying this, other than to cope? Chess has a lower skill floor and skill ceiling with this logic, but none of these dogs will ever get to touch Carlsen.

as a person who tried to pick up cs before val, i found it very hard to get used to. there was a lot going on constantly, didn't know how specific guns worked, and overall just confusing and overwhelming.
picking up valorant in beta was a lot easier tho. it was still confusing, a lot going on and guns were confusing too. but i got used to it a lot faster. valorant is definitely easier to pick up than cs and also way easier to learn and get used to yes

Yeah, for me playing valorant is more fun cause its a lot more dumbed down mechanically and how the utility can do crazy shit, while watching pro cs is more fun because of the higher skill ceiling aim wise

i mean the skillceiling shooting wise is lower, but with abilities and stuff the strategic skill ceiling is up to the moon

Lol u dont get it..."shazam is world champ" u say...and tell valo is easier...ur statement makes no sense

1.What does players need for motivation for grind and hardwork?
Ans. Money..fame nd respect right?
So when he was in csgo he didnt get enough motivation
And when he switched to VAL the game got soo soo much hype...
He got an org...in which they performed realy well in the start of the game
^ so that got fame
He started blowing upon twitch slowly(currently man has 10k subs and 11k avrg viewers)
^that gained him money
Then when SEN blew up nd won more tourneys in 2021 ppl started respecting him
^this got him respect
While all this took place he also got a lot more money from his org due to how they have progressed...

does anyone actually think otherwise?

you got literal t2-3 csgo pros playing the game and winning tournaments over overwatch and PUBG pros

every washed up/banned CSGO pro switches over while none of the pros on T1 teams do

it's pretty obvious right?
