At the start - don't get me wrong, those guys are insane. But imagine if in those 2 times, especially in Magnum clutch, it went to the other side. That would change the match in really couple different ways. But as far I can remember, the best teams always have some sort of "luck", when they're winning tournaments.

Luck or no luck it doesn't matter, a lot of EU pundits were predicting a stomping of NA by EU teams. Instead we got a pretty even match between FNC and SEN and a significant upset of TL by V1. This shows that at the top level, NA teams are currently better than EU teams for sure. EU's upper echelons were simply unable to match NA's upper echelons, therefore EU's upper echelon needs to raise the bar higher for the region as a whole. Point is, according to pundit expectations EU has been underwhelming, while NA exceeded expectations, as "EU were supposed to stomp NA".

I don't get this fight between regions, I am really happy to see NA in a good form, finally ready to fight EU. It was or would be boring to see always one sided tournaments / matches.

Mostly regional pride, NA fans (incl myself) have been cheering and been disappointed by our global performances for way too long. Every time we feel like we have that ONE team that breaks through, they choke at the global event.

And EU has always given us shit about it (deservedly so).

I love the fact we can compete with, and even beat top EU teams. But it's even better know that they are close, competitive games. Even if things didn't swing in NA's favour, I'd be happy knowing that we put up a great fight

And there are also people from NA too(assuming they are not fakeflagging on this forum) who were SEN and TenZ doubters. I personally doubted TenZ too(along the lines of "cmon there is no way a single player can make that much of a difference") but I am officially declaring that I am eating my words after watching him play on this tournament.

If EU is truly the second best region, then one of EU teams will have no problem to come back to the grand finals through lower bracket.

I think the grand finals will be one of the two scenarios -

1) SEN vs V1 (NA final, one of them coming from LB, could be whoever, most likely V1, if they beat EU again)
or
2) SEN vs FNC (rematch, FNC beating V1 in LB, i think FNC is stronger than Liquid on this tournament)

I don't get why people are proclaiming their regions are the best, I just follow the mindset of a particular team and not the entire vastness of a region. Sure NA won 2 matches against EU, that does not mean EU region is shit and they should quit playing Val, I think we should wait for more international events to make sure.
