my thoughts on NA

yeah, we've been getting shit on. but idk what we expected to happen. too many NA teams kept mediocre players and signed chamber mains before the nerfs (cryo, yay, ardiis) and now we're paying the price. EG kept 3 from before on main roster, 100T kept 4, C9 kept 3 (now 2), SEN kept the dephh, zekken, and sykko combo from XSET, and NRG kept 3 (which was statistically the only good core to keep). but, after making integral changes (c9 adding 2 new players, EG subbing in Demon1, SEN subbing in Marved, dropping sykko, and fixing roles) they've been playing way better. nepotism is a big issue in NA and i hope more and more fraudulent players get taken out of our franchised teams.

my prediction: if at least 2 NA teams make it to playoffs, 1 of them are going to go to tokyo. the improvement has been insane these past few weeks, but the bar was set really low for most NA teams to begin with. i just hope these coaches and managers wake up and get to the root of the issue before it's too late. NA has so much talent and it's pissing me off that the 25 player slots we have are wasted on talent that peaked in 2022.

sen looked really good and imo they'll make it to playoffs. dont doubt NRG also will, remains to be seen for the rest of NA. C9 legitimately looked decent but cant give a good opinion about them yet

what other metric besides their performance in 2022 can we build teams upon then for 2023 franchise????

make it make sense

im moreso talking about talent that saw an obvious fall off in 2022, like EG and c9. i'll give nrg, sen, and 100t a pass since nrg was top tier, sen is new players, and 100T did improve enough to make LCQ. the issue is that brazil made superteams with chemistry meanwhile NA picked up 1 star player per team (which all happened to be ex-chamber mains). besides sen, what good non-chamber player got picked up? zellsis, who did alright in LCQ and that's all? EG picked up bcj and then put him on smokes instead of initiator. ethan was unironically the only good pickup any team besides sen did.

also there were no up and comers picked up (like mwzera or cauanzin), NA orgs only picked up people who PEAKED in 2022, some even showed signs of falling off by the end of 2022 due to meta changes or whatever.

Eg core went out 7/8th in lcq last year, so 9th/10th place overall in NA last year

6 teams goes to playoff. there are 5 non NA. 1 of them is KRU that is virtually eliminated.
Awesome prediction saying "at least 2 NA teams go to playoff". Visionary. Nobody could've expected that
