Do you guys think that giving chamber his 2 traps back with no range would make him too op? I understand he was way too op at first but i feels like just the TP, headhunter and the tour de force nerfs would be enough no? A trap buf might make him a viable sentinel.

and chamber will be played again, riot is horrible at balancing agents, he literally went from a 70% pick rate to 0 thats not called balancing thats called shitting him to the bed

Yeah its crazy to me how much they nerfed him. I get that he was kinda monopolizing the game and so mamy people where complaning but they went way too far. I dont mind the pistol now and tp tbh I just want better trips so I can solo sentinel properly.

I think the best way to make him good again is to keep him as a relatively bad sentinel.

I would make him a kind of new character, a unique passive. What is Chamber? A rich French gun businessman.

The best way to buff chamber is to give an extra $100 per round for the whole team, after pistol round. Makes it easier to afford OP, gives him a passive use to the team since he's already very selfish. He is strictly an OP-er, nothing more and nothing less. For Ranked, chamber just becomes a lurker with an OP at basically every opportunity. In competitive, teams trying to force a KJ can go back to a Chamber as a semi-substitute but not as a pure replacement. I think this approach works better than improving his ability to OP.

I dont think you should improve his ability to op just improve his trips to make him more useful for the team cos currently hes less useful than reyna for the team imo.

That should be the point of the character. Give him his trips and he's useful as a sentinel, which makes him too much better. If he can only cover 1 close choke and hold another, then that's fair. His ult is an OP. He has an instant TP that gives him enough space to get another OP shot off. He has a quick pull pistol in case he misses. He should be the OP character. There is also no economy charecter, so making him bolster the economy gives him enough extra use that teams that want an OPer and not a sentinel, can do as such.

being a strong oper is what made him broken in the first place so making him a stronger oper would just bring the chamber op crutch meta back not make the sentinel role more balanced

if his trip gets buffed he wont be too much better cuz his trips were never what made him good its actually buffing his ability to op that would make him too much better

hes already the economy guy considering he has an op and a guardian when ur team is on save rounds not to mention u can force buy more when u have chamber ult up as thats one less gun ur team needs to buy

basically buffing trip is the only thing that can make him stronger without bringing him back to his oppressive state he had before

what made him broken in the first place was

-tp with two anchors allowed him to cover so much distance for fast rotation and be instantly setup on a new angle on top of being a get out of jail free card
-op shot super fast
-headhunter had super fast pull out time and made u have a guardian instantly if u missed ur op shot

so what to do now
-tp change was good it made it unusable for fast rotates or instantly being on a new angle and still does its job of being a get out of jail free card to make him a strong oper
-op to slower rate of fire was a good change it solved the issue of it shooting too fast
-for headhunter put it back to 100 creds per bullet and give it back its accuracy on follow up shots but nerf the pull out time so it doesnt instantly save u for missing an op shot and an oper missing can actually be punished if his tp isnt up
-for trips make the range bigger so he can actually play away from the trip instead of having to babysit it like he does now

I agree that most of the nerfs where good. Just think the trap need a buff. Personally i want them to remove the range. (maybe even give him 2 but that might be too much)

An interesting idea I've always had was this :

  • increase the range by a little bit
  • I actually don't mind the single TP anchor point, just again increase the range of it.
  • either give him both the trips back within the range or 1 trip without any range
    This one's the most interesting for me tho :
  • Ult would be only 3 bullets, for every 2 kills you get, one extra bullet gets added to the shell.
    So realistically if you hit every shot, you can still kill 5 and get the ace but you need to be precise. Revert back any delays added to the gun to justify the 3 bullet mag

Thats a really cool idea tbh. I dont think 2 traps with range would be that intresting (and would make the map too clutered). I would say that it might be a bit of a heavy nerf for the ult (especially for lower ranks) but yeah i like the idea.
