is "the North vs South" special in the LATAM?
or has it done for the ping problems?

latam north has mexican players, while latam south has argentinian, providing a large ping problem.
i dont see any significance in north vs south, but i am not from latam

LATAM is too big for just one server (big in size). So they have divided in 2 "regions" North and South.

If you are for example from Mexico, it's better to play in the North server, because the ping is better. And if you're from Argentina it's better to play in the south server.

If you mean that "LAN vs LAS" is a long-waited confrontation, yes it is. Kind of like a "EU vs NA" in a smaller proportion.

Also, it's not just LAN = Mexico / LAS = Argentina as mentioned above... LAN server includes all the countries from Central America + countries in the north of South America (Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador), and all the others from South America are in the LAS server.
