who got humbled? if anything it’s impressive that these Na teams made it this far considering C9B are only as good as Yay is performing, and Nrg faced the reigning champs in their own home. Eg was underrated and showed they have the ability to win but still need more time. that team has had nearly no pracc and their best player is arguably Ethan/Boostio
i would argue EMEA are setting higher standards for their teams than we did. they only comment about how their best teams are in the omega bracket and fully expect them to sweep their opponents. what happens if they dont? NA really hasn’t overrated any team, NRG rightfully are one of the better NA teams. 100T is getting a lot of hype (we will see how they do), EG had zero fans to begin with, C9 had two fans (c9_yay_lover and qwertyy) due to their performance at redbull, SEN has 2 prev world champions.
as an NA fan, im proud that NRG put up a good performance against the former champions and came back from a huge defeat on map 1. s0m has shined, especially on icebox, and ardiis is proving that he may be able to replace yay. SO many people doubted s0m and made fun of the roster after map 1 and im glad NRG nearly brought it back. such an incredible match. EG surprisingly make it past ro32 and c9b managed to take a map off of DRX 13-3 (who literally kept their consistent asf roster). in the end, im rooting for the americas region because thats how it is now. if americas wins, we get the extra masters spot so thats what really matters :)
