Feels bad man. I think the reason they are so bad is cuz the scim level is shit in Japan except Zeta.

This is why NA/Asia CS is hot ass. You aren’t improving playing EG black and Mongolian teams

There's better players in APAC in tier 2. I don't care they get 2 spot but just sign on talent not on clout. I feel like GE did this better even.

There's no good duelist T2 (Japanese)
Most duelist from T2 in Japan are Russians or Koreans.
As I see, some Japanese duelists when they reach Radiant and start trying to play competitively they get destroyed by russians so they choose to change their roles to not "harm his own team"
Japanese people is not that much egoist to play Jett properly I think, all jett players that appear here only play jett to play operator (awp) is really rare to see a real duelist jett like Aspas.

That would explain why almost all import players in Japan are filling on the duelist role, feels like the no upcoming tier 1 Japanese talent for the duelist role is gonna hurt the JP scene in the long run.

Yes GE did a fairly good job. I thought dfm would too but their roster feels so weak.

Japan should bootcamp in NA every offseason. Still have faith Zeta can be good tho with consistent practice vs DRX PRX and probably Talon.

I believe ZETA had a bootcamp in EU at offseason but I don't remember exactly where.

the issue with japan is honestly the language barrier. If you have no international talent from EU or NA who can truly coach you/guide you to play better on an international level then youll never really be able to get much results on that stage. Imagine if chet, the genshin impact playing fuckin weeb he is, knowing japanese and deciding to coach zeta the same way he coaches nrg/optic.

feel like the japanese scene is too closed off within itself to be able to change its own meta to something more practical internationally and as such doesnt change at all as the domestic meta is all they know and adapting to a playstyle otherwise entirely foreign is 1000x harder than just having said playstyle to begin with.

From what I watched, CR is so much better than DFM and I don't even know if DFM can qualify for ascension if they were in challengers. The roster is just really bad with no dedicated good smoke player, no good duelist. I don't necessarily think the players are bad, it's just the conjunction of roles and absence of decent coach resulted in this tragedy. Japan does not have history in competitive fps like EU or Korea or China, so they don't have locally grown coaches who's actually good and you can tell with that atrocious macro . Most of Japanese teams had imports jett like meteor in Nth, foxy9 in RIG, Jemkin in SZ and Smth in SG which DFM lacks (although i still have little hopium that seoldam becomes insane again). So import coaches from korea or EMEA or whatever the region, do bootcamps in EMEA or NA and get good import players.
