How did they even match the teams up? Bc how tf did c9 vs PRX, and SEN vs FNC, get matched up, and then there is a matchup between Rex Regum Quantum vs FUT... it just seems like they did it completely random which seems weird to me, its also worse for them viewership wise, because two teams out of PRX C9 SEN & FNC are going home after one match, when they are like the most popular teams in the world. And yes I am NA so I am biased, and maybe RRQ and FUT are better than I think, but its highly unlikely. Also theres a few other pretty stacked matchups in round 1 imo, like NAVI KRU, & KOI NRG

Wasnt the best format or poll we could have for sur...
But matchmacking must be random... you cant fix the games the way you like... put whoever u want vs however u want because will not compete when they feel that they got some unfair matches

Sure, but some sort of seeding would've been definitely good, c9 PRX SEN and FNC all feature multiple players who have WON a masters or champions tournament, and RRQ and FUT are all players who havent even appeared at a masters/champions tournament

they probably did it random because all the franchised teams are supposed to be able to be the best and beat everyone, but this is really dumb

I wish riot doctored the bracket so that we'd have way more upsets, since too many R1 matchups are close teams. Fnatic and Sen are relatively level teams, just like PRX and C9, just like RRQ and Giants. There are so many matchup that'll be close in round 1, the teams will most on to round 2, and then we'll see way more blowouts.
