even though cricketers may be superstars, in some parts of the country football is more popular. since India has never qualified, we look for different teams to support. and back in the day south American teams had the best players and were hence most supported. pele, maradona,romario, ronaldinho,messi are all gods here. personally I was born into supporting brazil. my grandfather supported brazil, my father supported brazil and both me and my brother support brazil. my father used to tell me how he used to wait for the result in the newspapers the next day and how he used to listen to commentary on the radio.
if brazil wins the world cup, I can assure that after Brazilians, indians would celebrate the most.
