Why would someone go out of their way to watch simulated sports that they mostly already do in the Olympics 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
this is just a dumb really bad attempt to appeal to the younger generation

like youd figure if they show any esport at the olympics its gonna be the actually hard complicated ones that require mechanical skill and intelligence.... not fuckin SWING YOUR WII REMOTE AT THE RIGHT TIME TO HIT THE BASEBALL or SPAM SPACEBAR TO ROW YOUR BOAT like what the fuck are these choices

Notable Key Points::

  1. Esports could not infringe olympic values and must have organization that guarantee compliance with Olympic rules and regulations.
  2. The Violent Nature of certain titles wouldn't translate to a more formal olympic stage.
  3. The notion of any games that involve killing absolutely impossible thus elimination possibility of CSGO
  4. Publisher control every esport, unlike olympic sport which operate by federation and national organization that don't have ownership stake in the concept of the sport they trying to play, meanwhile game publishers do.

SEA games 2021 does involve: League of Legends, Wild Rift, PUBGM, ML, FIFA online 4, Free Fire, AOV, Crossfire. SEA somehow manage it, but unsure how on olympic level.

Because it's eventually falls down to regional vs global authority. Lots of showcase/experimental events can be done (more so) for regional games such as the SEA Games, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, so on, like you mentioned on the key points. A bit more freedom since it's more or less tied also to the culture of the region.

But for the Olympics, to consider that much of its standards are to be expected as the absolute best representing all the world, often doesn't include any new stuff (besides the 2020/21 Olympics) that might be standing against the Olympic values.

There's a podcast i watched that explains this sitauation its in filipino tho. Basically in basketball fiba regulates that shit and leagues like the nba is being cooperated with olympics so the schedule will not hit each other. the problem with esports is a company owns the sport. idk if this is correct im just remmebering the stuff i watched weeks ago
