since vct 2023 will only have 3 regions?
keeping in mind that kickoff tourneys' winners region will get +1 spot

so idk how that will work with 12 teams in masters (4america+4emea+4asia)**
this would be advantage for emea bcoz till now they had 3 teams in masters so thats +1 spot
for america its a disadv since they used to get 5 spots(2+2+1 latm/br lcq) so -1 spot
for asia its same coz they got 4 spots as usual

for the champions it will be the most advantageous situation for emea considering 16 team with 4+4+4 division with 3 lcq winners and maybe +1 spot for masters winners region**

any other guesses?

Or top 3 and then into groups of 5.

I don't think they will really care about region distribution that has been happening for the last 2 years . They will even out from next year and LCQ would be happening for all 3 regions tho
Or maybe they just increase it to +1 team in masters or champions to 13 teams . Still not sure how it will work

Honestly I think Asia is getting fucked over regardless with the rumored 5 slots for Korea.
Other than that I don't really care

yep absolutely
for japan if zeta(as rumoured) fails to make it in....japan regions fucked
but for korea they will have the potential of getting all the slots in masters and champions if 5 kr teams in the league

Theres no way Japan don't receive at least one slot as the CEO even recognized the popularity of Japan's Valorant scene in an interview, but by no means should Korea get any more than 3 slots imo
