The article only mentions SEA, OCE, JP and KR for Asian league
Holy fuck that's disappointing.
But I'm pretty sure they will have their chance in the upcoming years.
I personally am hoping that if Valorant could be the gateway for more Indians to be a part of the bigger landscape of esports, my country will also get a boost. Cuz India is the biggest South East Asian country...
JiangLi [#2]It shows they are already getting a challengers league ?
As for franchising its not even decided which orgs get in

Atleast they're playing in international stage. You forgot ardiis too. Where are the Indian players on the international stage. For a country of 1.4 billion people, it's kinda pathetic, no?
SigmaMale [#27]Atleast they're playing in international stage. You forgot ardiis too. Where are the Indian players on the international stage. For a country of 1.4 billion people, it's kinda pathetic, no?
man whole country cant have any esport to qualify on international stage, without using word.exe 💀
Their first international match and the Last. xD

1.4 billion ppl but playerbase still less than majority and the existing playerbase is inexperienced af, even most "pros" from india have 5k~6k hours in cs which isnt that high when u compare it to certain apac/emea pros
fr doe give us a few more yrs (1 and a half max) and we will see where things will be :)
also yes dont forget the highly unsupportive household ecosystem when it comes to gaming in general, its easy to speak from outside since u cant put urself in our shoes but its fr not so easy to game as a kid/teen in india and trust me its harder than any average asian household which are already known to be very strict

actually disappointing, was expecting a south asian org with a team of like 2 or 3 south asians and the rest a mix of east and south east asian or even middle eastern, but i guess it is how it is

India absolutely not in South East Asia but yeah, hopefully chance will be given and hopefully the non-franchising league allows for more integration with other sub regions
