Football Substitution like system for esports

Could it be a good idea or bad? I personally think it might be interesting like that. Have 3 substitutions and a bench full of players. This will give more players a chance and reduce exhaustion from going OT. Normally after OT game becomes a battle of mental and sometimes it feels sluggish. If substitution existed then the game could possibly maintain that early game energy? It will also reduce whiffs and the game will be more skill-based. Just my personal opinion. Thoughts?

6 players in one team and they all play and sub out each other for maps or smth.

I think he means changing the players during mid-map, giving the edge to the particular team because imagine playing a bo5 and in map 3 everyone should already be tired as fuck, especially if the match is intense, so having a player go in mid-map with fresh mental and stamina could help the team

I'd say it's really hard to constantly restart games to put in a sub

Dont think it's in the teams best interest. Valorant and other esports games are built on communication and chemistry between players. If you take a player out and another one in, you're breaking all of that

Communication and chemistry, they can work on it before tournament. Like another person said, EDG has 3 substitutions. I think other teams could do the same. Sometimes, player might just be having a bad day, so a sub mid-game could save the team.

If this happens I bet EDG will reign their supremacy over the entire world. They literally have 3 players who can be used as subs (Life, smoggy and Abo) and they can dismantle the whole enemy team single-handedly.

When you're all warmed up, deep into the match, feeling out how the enemy team likes to play, I think a sub would just get crapped on.
Cool idea but I don't think it would work.

If warmed up, they should continue playing. I'm talking about OT situation or maybe a player having a bad day situation. Like in Football, the benched players watch the game because they could be subbed at any time. In this game you could also do that. Coming in OT with fresh mental, energy and a clear mind to execute strategies is a very big saviour.

I mean, it could work, but like I said, I still think it would take time to adjust and feel out how the enemy team is playing and I doubt swapping out a player would suddenly allow for new, never-before considered strategies to appear in the middle of the game. Also richer orgs are likely to buy out and hoard the best players if it is a successful tactic which could diminish growth in the scene.
