Apac come

According to this article we would have at least one spot for each large community if lets say these rules are the same in apac.

So this confirms an org from thailand that means we could probably have 2 orgs from thailand one being xeria and one another one or maybe we will get only xerxia in leauge.

Ge will most probably also get the slot considering they are the last remaining SA org and viewrship in SA is just behind japan. And most probably SA will give valorant more views in the coming days due to ban.

Aside from one for each japan and kr what are the biggest communities in apac? Vietnam?

It's a league mf, SA team would be there for the whole season (which would be atleast 2-3 month long), even if we don't make playoffs

If you look at the viewership from stage 2 VCTs, the three largest regions in terms of viewership are currently are JP, TH, and KR. If I were Riot, these would be the three regions I'd try to prioritize as the 'biggest communities'. I think the best way Riot could split the slots is doing 6/6, half for KR/JP/CN and the other half for APAC/OCE/SA

A lot of Non-Korean people watch Korean games. I think some guy casting the KR VCT in English put out this fact but most of the viewers of the KR circuit are not Korean.
Heck, even Indian people watch Korean and NA circuits but not their own. The population factor is there but the local crowd is just disappointed by the performance of the teams.

Stage 1 had much more viewership.

I'm also not confident about the EMEA league system working well here in APC. People outside don't realize but people put too much national importance here unlike in EU. There are only 10-12 slots for apac and most likely 6 of them going to KR + JP. That leaves 6 for the literally the whole of APAC. Too many major countries and too less slots. Unfortunately they don't give a shit . Would be great if they bring VRL to countries so game alteast popular in T2.

Source is not wrong at all but out of that 37 k viewers 22k+ was from the Official Valorant channel . Rest was from Official KR channels . So the list you put is not accurate . IF OCE and SG/MY was streamed on the main one it would also put them to up like 4th spot but these 2 regions the least viewed easily along with HK/TW.

I don’t think that’s really true. Sure those regions would get a bit of a boost but a lot of viewers come specifically to watch KR Valorant. I don’t think OCE or SG/MY would attract as many foreigners.

Yeah I also think it was change in TO that leaded to downfall of the viewers like vcc was named just for nodwin and scs was named for skyesports so people were already confused and many were asking when will vcc 3 come pair with poor marketing most people didnt knew about scs but what leaves me questioning although its not viewership but we still got 1 million views in vlt vs ge and I think this is like the only stream in yt (valo)from aisa which got 1 million views (not talking about viewership) , leave vcc1 I think we were geting 64k+ viewrship (indian watchparties + nodwin) during vlt vs fs. Personally indian can alone pull 100k viership if our teams starts winning in apac but Idk when will it happen xD

Skyesports is notorious for view botting lol, the shit anthem that they released had 40k views in 4 days and 400k in 5 days with less than 10k likes. Their sponsor rooter is also known for heavy viewbotting. That VLT GE game probably got like 400k organic views AT MAX.

if a paper rex vs bleed GF match was to be broadcasted on the main channel it would easily topple 22k peak viewers. It's a bit unfair to count numbers on the main stream if other regions don't get the same opportunity of being on it.

oh yeah one more thing, ID, PH, MY/SG matches are still sub region matches to qualify for APAC, this especially won't garner as much attraction as it's way less important compared to KR as their circuit will instantly qualify for the international lan as more people especially foreigners would be interested. This on top of ID, TH, HKTW, VN, SA don't even have english streams says a lot abt unfairness of the data, this is comparing a qualifier to masters and a qualifier to a qualifier to masters. I was especially surprised about the SA numbers but after realizing that it's sub region matches it makes a lot of sense as a lot of SEA and SA countries like to watch their country teams vs others cause of national pride.
