It's clutch%, so 20 clutches out of 40 attempted is 50%.
Shao has the most clutches(21/83) 25.3% , but not the most clutch% now that goes to mindfreak

Edit: mindfreak (12/34) =35.4%

it doesn't work like that for clutches imo, the stats are wrongly displayed imo, but still mindfreak and shao have the clutch gene
and the casters said it themselves

When they were presented with a clutch this tournament mindfreak was the most likely to win his clutch

The stat doesn't try to claim who was better at clutching since it doesn't take the value of X in a 1v X into consideration, only their clutch winrate %

yeah but the sample size isn't big enough for mindfreak i could say?
also shao has played multiple 1 v 1 clutches against mindfreak in that series and i'm pretty sure shao won them all
i'm not disrespecting mindfreak he is a clutchmeister nonetheless but from my observation i feel like shao had better impact in 1v? situations and had more clutches in the end

The percentage for Shao is low because FPX had played the most number of rounds , so the amount of times he was in a clutch situation is much higher , thereby reducing his overall % . On the other hand PRX had played the least amount of games to reach GF , so mindfreak % is high

No, it means that of the given oppurtunities to clutch, mindfreak clutched more often than Shao did. Obviously they were both really good at clutching, but the amount of rounds played has nothing to do with the clutch %. Maybe mindfreak overperformed so if he had more rounds he wouldn't have won as many sure, but you are completely butchering the stat.

What ? The numbers you see on the right are the no. of clutch situations the player has been in , and the one on its left indicate how many they won .

Shao has fucking 83 and mindfreak has only 34 , the latter could only have a higher no . of clutches if he would just bait his team and be the last one alive everytime , but it still would be hard. shao won 21 , mindfreak won 12 , and he calculated the % likewise , ofc mindfreak will have a higher % cuz he played only 34 clutches ? And i think i have understood the stats pretty well , although they are very unreliable as a metric to measure a player's clutch% or how good a player does in clutch situations.

Not really but you could determine if he is or he isn't by similar stats , but what i really believe is that shao has this high no. because of the amounts of rounds played , hence more the amount of opportunities of a clutch ( I think it was shown yesterday that FPX is the team that has played the most rounds in copenhagen about 470+ something)

the metric is good man, just accept it (I'm not saying that Shao is a bad clutch player, he's actually really insane), but your narrative that the clutch win% is not good is kinda blind fanboyism and a little dumb (I don't want to be salty ok, do not take it as an insult 😊)

Shao was in 49 more clutch scenarios than mindfreak, but that doesn't mean anything for the stat. If someone was in 10 clutches and won 5 of them, then they would have a 50% clutch winrate. Of the times they were in clutch scenarios, on average, mindfreak won more times than Shao. Shao won more TOTAL clutches because he was IN MORE CLUTCHES THAN MINDFREAK.

The best clutch player would have the highest clutch % and highest total clutches

By your thinking a player who played 1000 clutches and won 50 of them (5% clutch rate) is better than a player who played 100 and won 40 of them (40% clutch rate)

Thats a rather crazy example lmao but lets keep it to a below 100. I believe a player who has played 100 clutches and won 25 of them is still better than a player who played 40 and won 10 of them, both have the same % but one is clearly the better clutch player
