IMO I want as many games as possible

I think first stage should be a group stage comprising 4 groups 4 teams in each

  • Each group should be a round robin and the top 3 advance to playoffs comprising 12 teams total of playoffs and 4 total teams eliminated
  • Playoffs should be double elimination, but the 3rd seed goes straight to the losers bracket.
  • This would make it an 8 team bracket with 4 teams down in the losers bracket already to face off the teams that lose first round in the uppers.
  • Winners Finals BO5
  • Losers Finals BO5
  • Finals BO5

this format is too good for Riot, sorry sir

winners finals should be bo3 though, way too exhausting for a team to possibly play 3 bo5 series in 3 days

Idk its the biggest tournament in the entire game
I think there should be no chances for flukes

I’m never against more valorant, but when you have the same teams playing so much in such a short period of time for too long, the quality of the matches will decrease over time, because of fatigue and having to study so many teams and prepare different strats. It’ll just get sloppy, That’s gotta be kept into consideration

Its fair but I miss Stages 1 and 2 of 2021 and I had the most fun watching those types of matches

Yeah absolutely, I miss when all teams were actually made to play the group stages, and I also miss consistent triple series days. Some things are better left unchanged

That, and you could understand how strong teams actually were on an international level. With such little events at this large of a stage its so hard guaging some of these teams

Exactly this. Throwing teams into playoffs isn’t a good indication of how good they are

full-er feefback:
UBF Bo5 is a pointless waste of time
i like the idea of putting teams into the lower bracket
12 teams in playoffs is appealing but.. it's also a lot of teams and you're going to have a lot of repeat matchups
a gauntlet-style lower bracket might be appealing but you'd have to put less teams. maybe for a masters?

See I decided for a group stage round robin to get those unique matchups guaranteed, and with so many teams in playoffs theres bound to be interesting matchups whether theres repeats or not

Personally I like it so i can stack regions and teams up against each other
Whether its round robin or not Id like there to be a group stage EVERYONE participates in

I honestly dont like double elim playoffs, it just feels weird for me. Its the final stage of the tourney but teams can still get 2nd chances. I do know the caveats of single elim like having a GF way in SF or other stuff but i like single elim better for playoffs

Maybe single elim would be appropriate for playoffs within the layout I mentioned and instead just have 1st seed advance a round, but being in a LAN environment is different than online and I think teams need time to warmup to the change in environment

Wait so, group stage is online? Is your interpretation of online being in different rooms?

No but teams coming from LCQ will not have much opportunity to warm up to a LAN environment and I feel there needs to be some cushion
