If its the main 10-12 orgs are doing well, I have no fear the scene will suffer

league of legends ia great example

handful of orgs have rosters outside of the franchise and its working fine

just gotta make sure there is infrastructure in place for a t2 scene/academy scene.
But the likes of overwatch did franchising and the t2 scene is completely dead.
Dota/csgo is still thriving all these years without franchising.

Also have you scene the state of north American league of legends. it is all imported players. 100t have zero na players.
Its not always good

Its not always good but you have to remember in FPS games NA is actually good ( better than MOBA )

I think riot know what they are doing, they fixed their mistake in League of legends ( T2 scene died for a while )

then they created the ERLs and academy for NA

its going great there

same copy will happen in VALORANT but probably an advanced with that will solve all problems that happend in LOL

There will still be tier2 orgs playing in the regional leagues, and soar never had a chance of getting to top 12 with the current system anyways

it’ll be very short term i hope. There’s just too much talent that’s too spread out so this should condense it making the talent of valorant skyrocket because you have to be the best of the best to play pro and stay pro. Theoretically.

so probably no change of teams for 4 years at least

12 teams is a sweet spot maybe 14 if they are very generous

but giving brazil 3 slots is good I think

brazil deserve 3 slots easily and it'll help the scene grow better than now

( look at LOUD practice in brazil its not good )

now we have 3 brazillian teams having top tier scrims

Yeah, totally agree. Br teams will can learn with top 1 Na teams how to play the game, and It would be good for the t2 scene from Brazil that will be out of the frachyse scene (just like in CS GO) to improve, and more young talents will be revealed and improved.

Yes they helped the scene grow but its a new org with insane amount of ORGs in NA competing for the slot

you have to consider a lot of those teams will get direct slot only because of their relation ship with riot from League of legends ( LCS )

I'm down with this semi-franchising system, but tbh if they combine APAC with East Asia i would be very pissed. There are a lot of good orgs in asia and if only 12 would get in, that's disappointing

All of APAC will be in 1 Super league

this is out of the discussion and completely agreed on

I honestly the most beneficial region from this franchise will be APAC

Their salary will hugely be increased and the level will be increased

Plus I dont think they are 12 great orgs in APAC right now so its not like EMEA/NA where a lot of good orgs will be shutdown and not included
