It's NOT a comeback

this logic makes no sense. valorant is a game where you SWAP SIDES after 12 rounds. when a team selects a map, then the other team gets to pick side first. SO OF COURSE FAZE IS GOING TO 9-3 ON 100T'S MAP PICKS since 100T are better at split defense and icebox offense. this should not only NOT BE SURPISING, it should be PREDICTABLE.

That's not how FPS games like this work, Valorant is a momentum based game, if you're going into a half down 6 rounds and you don't win the pistol which is very random at times, you most likely lose the game regardless of how good your T or CT side is. That is why it is a comeback.

momentum is definitely a thing but defensive sided maps/comps are also most definitely a thing.

let's take an extreme example to demonstrate:
It's split
100T have KJ, Cypher, Brimstone, Raze, and Sage
FaZe have Chamber, Omen, Cypher, Neon, and Sage

Do you not expect 10-2 or something similar for defense on both halves if the teams are even in strength?
Even if one team goes 10-2, mental is not going to be ruined and momentum is going to shift because ITS A NEW HALF AND YOU DONT GET VANDALS TO START HALF

Even if it's a new half, you're starting with pistols, which are usually coinflip rounds (Unless you're EG). 100T won both second-half pistols in the games they won and also won the bonus, another unlikely round. The only map they lost was Fracture because they lost that second-half pistol, so we didn't get to see their Fracture attack side. So yes, it is not likely regardless of you're strengths, in CS you could make that argument with the map Ancient rn which is super CT-sided, but this isn't CS. This game is way more momentum-based.

I'm sorry if I'm not making sense, but it kind of sounds like you're supporting my argument. Even if 100T lost their bonus, which was expected, it's also still expected that they at least go to overtime. You said the game is momentum-based, but then you also said pistol rounds are coinflip, so doesn't that support me saying that the map immediately changes at halftime to support 100T?

I see what you're saying in that matches can be cut off early because the opposing team wins pistol even when they are dominant on that half of the map, but it's still EXPECTED that they're going to win on that half with a comp that thrives on that half
