I feel like coming to a masters events most of the teams qualifying would be the same. And because there is no more slots, teams that has international appearances will be more likely to qualify especially in minor regions. Other teams in these regions can't qualify so essentially the rich gets richer

I mean last year the 16 team for Berlin format worked, idk why they just dont opt for that for all masters. Then 20 for champs. But with franchising I doubt we see it change from 12 and 16 sadly.

It’s crazy that we’ve only gotten to see 29 teams on LAN over the past year and a half, especially when events in CS, like the PGL major, have 24 teams

that's how esports scene works. i mean the qualified team most likely the same bcs they are the best team on their region. this not only happened on esports but also regular sports like football. adding more slots could lessen it's exclusivity, pride and competitiveness.

Mf 12 teams is too less considering we have 7 regions. They can do 16 teams and have masters 3 distributions with Sa lcq and EAST asia lcq w

More teams raises the chances of multiple teams from the same region in playoffs, regions like EMEA (CIS+EU+MENA) and APAC (shit-ton of countries) have some diversity but imagine 4 teams from NA in playoffs... It would be super boring tbh.

Not only slots but more official riot sponsered events, like fpl val ( faceit has val tournament mode if you didn't know) and partnering with good TO'S ( like nerd street, ESL and better ones out there), people will get more experience and teams need to work hard to win

  1. fpl is just for pros to pug, not a tournament or anything
  2. nerd street is tier999 TOs XD

so true, same teams from minor regions who qualified for international tournaments first and were able to get experience against eu teams have a big advantage in terms of experience to other teams from their region, it will take a long time before some1 can actually challenge them since those teams in the minor regions dont have the same experience
