same group a, b and c, but instead of a double elim bracket it should be round robins within the three groups. best team from each group qualify for playoffs and play another 3-way round robin to determine the 2 teams that make it to madrid.
this way there would be the same amount of total games (19) but a lot fairer especially for the teams already in playoffs
