They nearly beat SEN bro. They should be better with wo0t as well

I hope it's not right before Shanghai. Wouldn't want to start an international tournament with such a massive addition to the game (assuming they're actually good in pro play, which I assume they will with that death smoke mechanic)

Stopped reading at "beaver_man"

Has it been mentioned anywhere? I doubt we'll see them for the first week of Split 1, but maybe week 2?

https://www.vlr.gg/312800/funplus-phoenix-vs-loud-champions-tour-2024-masters-madrid-swiss-stage-r2/?game=162367&tab=overview Look at Life's position on the scoreboard for Sunset relative to his teammates performances and tell me this system isn't scuffed as fuck. You also can't tell me that tuyz had a better tournament than zekken for example.

Does it suddenly become impossible for 2025 onward or something?

Strange that they didn't do an MVP. Normally they do

...the playoff teams for Madrid didn't get any championship points aside from the winner. 2nd place should've gotten 2 points, and 3rd should've gotten 1 point. They essentially have no advantage over any of the teams that DIDN'T make the tournament. Actually more of a disadvantage now that they are wide open in terms of maps and strats.

tbh I wouldn't be surprised if SEN loses this, or if any of the Top 4 Madrid teams lose their opening matches.

  1. Winners from each league in Stage 1 auto qualify for playoffs. Gives really good incentive to win your league on top of the 3 championship points.
  2. 8 team swiss stage for 2nd and 3rd seeds, with only 4 qualifying for playoffs. Just like Madrid
  3. Leaves us with 8 teams total in the double elimination playoff bracket.

I personally would not enjoy having my best 2 maps banned right off the bat, but that's just me.

They may be chokers, but they are still extremely competitive up until the end. Would never call them garbage. Now China on the other hand, ooh boy

posted about a year ago

Mark my words, the team to get Pacific that first trophy will be RRQ. I'm not sure when it will happen, but they are inevitable #RRQArmy

posted about a year ago

7/8 are against Americas teams oof

"we just need to be in girlfriend from upper and lower"

If China wins a trophy before Pacific, it's joever

posted about a year ago

Ap0c and y0y in the same region. Tragic

posted about a year ago

They need to lose in the upper finals and then win in lowers. That way they aren't cursed by the "advantageous" map pool. Shit has happened 3 times now

I see the vision at Shanghai

The coveted APAC choke with 2 map ban advantage?

posted about a year ago

Most insane round I've ever seen

posted about a year ago

pressure might be getting to them

posted about a year ago

Most likely Sideshow and Bren casting

posted about a year ago

I think this event already proved that APAC is good, even if they somehow lose tomorrow.

posted about a year ago

I'll RL1 all the Remembrance bosses

posted about a year ago

Champs 2023 too. EG lost to PRX in uppers, but then beat them convincingly in grand finals.

posted about a year ago

Copenhagen 2022 too. At least it's not PRX this time lol

posted about a year ago

I'm beating the turtle pope in Elden Ring to death with a club. APAC losing another international final would be tragic, ESPECIALLY with map ban advantage.

How popular is Valorant at PC bangs nowadays? Last time I saw a list many months ago placing it 3rd behind FIFA and League of Legends. Is it still 3rd?

posted about a year ago

I just know that Valorant will be more popular at those Korean PC bangs if GenG wins.

posted about a year ago

Your only hope is that GENG chokes.

posted about a year ago

More like PRX ruined Monyet. Motherfucker was the best player on GE with t3xture on that same team.

posted about a year ago

People don't count domestic trophies, let's be real. No one cares that Liquid won EMEA in 2023.

posted about a year ago

I know other games do this like Rocket League, but it would take way too long unless they chose Bo3 for grand finals.

posted about a year ago

Surely APAC doesn't choke another Grand Final with map ban advantage :clueless: Predicting a 3-1 GENG regardless

posted about a year ago

Only advantage SEN has in this final is experience. GenG could choke

posted about a year ago

Ok so it's even so far, which is surprising. You'd think upper finals winner has the advantage. Also, Champs 2021, Berlin 2021, and Lock-in were single elim, no adv for grand finals

posted about a year ago

It's their advantage for winning the upper finals.

posted about a year ago

What do you mean false????

posted about a year ago

Oh yea forgot EG's map pool was disgusting. Not even comparable to either of these teams tbh. The pool was very different at the time too

posted about a year ago

Would've said the same with EG against PRX prior to that final tbh

posted about a year ago

...then APAC is cooked forever. It'd be the 3rd loss at an international final with map ban advantage for that region.

posted about a year ago

They're a pretty reliable insider site for Valorant, League, and CS.

posted about a year ago

Lower finals is Bo5 though.
