Heh, here we are again eh? Sunset is map that seems to be generally disliked, not quite icebox and breeze bad but probably the next most hated. So what can we do to fix it?

• Broken B Plant
  The stairs plant on B for B main is just silly spamfest slop just like pearl was, so what can we do? Perhaps the left side of the pillar needs some kind of rework to make it so spike can't be planted against the wall and seen from main. Idk if they just remove the left side or change it or what we just need something to fix this issue.

• Mid SUCKS
  For both attackers and defenders mid is kinda trash and only used for lurks and occasional market crunches, with no a pressure without going into spawn, very similar to icebox mid actually. How to fix? Well I think fixing broken B plant will make market a far more important area for attackers and in turn defenders, but I think top mid needs some changes. Atm attackers are just walking into a crossfire which feels unfun and silly to take. I think more cover from the B side of top mid is needed so attackers can actually contest A from mid without it being a gimmick.

• A?
  I like how A is atm but it is kinda just retake sim most of the time so hypothetically let's do some changes. I think the little box in the bottom left of the site should NOT be wallbangable. It is a free clear for attackers and requires no util. Tbh I think A is A-okay already but maybe defenders need 1 more spot they can play on site.

The only thing I could imagine is omen and clove together on like lotus or split maybe in place of omen and viper

I think viper still will 100% be picked on icebox and breeze cause yk obviously
Sunset and ascent will still see low play from gimmicky team comps if any play
What’ll be interesting is split bind and lotus
I think bind she’ll still see decent usage because the lurk wall on a short is way too strong
Split we might see a shift away from viper in favour of cypher as he can also effectively lurk whilst having good util to stall execs now that snakebite has 1 charge. Comps with cypher already could use a second initiator or duelist
Lotus I think will be a mix, but I think with a map that big combining another controller like brim with omen might become powerful. Lurk wall on a is very powerful still tho

They seem to do a billion little nerfs that do nothing and then bam huge nerf that actually changes viability. Happened with chamber skye and now viper

Remember when skye got nerfed and everyone said she’s dead but now she’s average and balanced? Viper will still get play on most maps especially with the current map pool but a lot more stuff will become viable now. If anything I don’t think it’s going to hit as hard as the skye nerfs and definitely not chamber nerf level falloff. Cypher nerfs are whatever I like the trips changes but the cam I’ll have to see first idk how it’ll go

Glad they win and the champ point is nice even if it probably irrelevant but man this format sucks, like the fact that the groups are seeded based on kickoff with RRQ as a bonus team as they came 3rd in group c so it was a 50/50 on which group they get placed in and they get put in the harder group again. Also they lose to ge when playing with a sub which id like to think wouldn't happen with estrella. Good hopes for split 2 but tbh playing in a group with DRX and PRX sucks
