Just woke up and checked the score and I’m glad 2G won. With saadhak leaving the region and Sacy retiring, with all the existing Brazilian teams having no clue what they’re doing, it’s nice to see a new fresh team in. It also balances the NA/SA split in Americas. It also feels good to see a region that is losing good practice and opportunities thrive despite the heavy favouring NA teams get in terms of org backing and scrim quality. Sucks for M80 as an org cause they’ve tried really hard both years but GG and congratulations 2G!

first map JFT just kept hitting B every round and kept winning even if RLF had 5 there somehow which was not great
second map was some hero plays for RLF but JFT seemed to just have a better read on the game and were outaiming them as well

Phara is a problem in low ranks and on console because nobody can truly punish her due to the worse level of aim. Playing phara at a low level grants an unbalanced level of value in low ranks and allows these poor players to play way above their skill level, and it isn’t fun for the opponents to deal with either. This creates a brain dead game where one team is forced into playing double hitscan as nobody is talented enough in that rank to solo counter the phara, even if she is a bad player

surely they come to oce next year so we at least get something

Why has production been so awful both this year and last? Ik it's early and hopefully they can fix some issues as this goes on but this is hard to watch

Team full of young rookies choking shouldn't be getting much hate, similar to pcfic losing in EMEA and heretics losing out this year. This is good experience early for young players and these teams and players will be back stronger next year. I don't think PRX get the same freedom as they have more experience than the teams they've lost to and also went through uppers but thats just what I think

No Org Backing: With pretty much no money to make it becomes impossible for valorant to become a sustainable game for any orgs investing in OCE teams, which leads to big players trying to leave the region
No Scrims: Geographically there is no way to scrim any teams without being 100+ ping and so scrim quality is awful. It’s pretty much the same as people complaining about South America scrims but it’s 10x worse here
Good Players, Bad Teams: I feel like what we’ve seen from the 2024 season is that the talent in tier 2 is insane, and their are many players who could destroy tier 1 waiting, but there is a lack of really strong teams that have all stars. This is very much seen in OCE as there are no true super teams and lots of our top players are in China or elsewhere
Low Viewership: Don’t really have to explain but this comes from other factors
Poorly Managed: Let’s play live are disastrous hosts that don’t pay players for long time periods, take forever to release schedules, and can’t even keep the code of their games up. Absolute joke of tournament organisers but tbh I don’t think we’ll be able to do much better with this dry region
